CATCON was engaged as the Principal Contractor for the Civil Balance of Plant works at the Clarke Creek Wind Farm in Central Queensland. The project included the design and construction of turbine foundations, access roads, hardstands, site compounds, an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) facility and associated rehabilitation works, forming a critical part of one of Australia’s largest renewable energy developments.
Working in a remote environment approximately 150 km north-west of Rockhampton, CATCON delivered extensive civil and structural infrastructure to support the wind farm’s construction and long-term operation. The scope required large-scale earthworks, pavement construction, drainage infrastructure and the delivery of substantial reinforced concrete structures across the project site.
The project showcased CATCON’s capability to deliver complex renewable energy infrastructure at scale. Through the successful construction of turbine foundations, internal road networks and supporting facilities, CATCON helped establish the essential infrastructure required for the wind farm’s operation and demonstrated its expertise in managing major civil construction projects in challenging regional environments.
