Pt Augusta Powerplant Concrete Remediation

When the ‘Playford B’ Coal Fired Power Station located at Pt Augusta (South Australia) required a thorough refurbishment, CATCON won the $4.5 million dollar contract to complete all associated civil works, including; construction of new concrete structures, retaining walls, piling, structural steel work and repair to existing concrete structures.

Working within the partially operational power plant, works had to be carried out with all existing structures in place. The 200m long switch room walls and ceilings required concrete repair around existing castings. Specialist CATCON owned concrete repair spray equipment was used during the refurbishment project.
