Condamine Power Station

CATCON were contracted to supply in-ground structures for all associated plant for the 2 x coal seam gas fired turbines. Additionally all in-ground services provision were supplied and installed by CATCON. System formwork was used for all Gas Turbine Blocks, Steam Turbine Block, HRSG and Diverters. Conventional formwork used for cooling tower, transformer bays, pits and ancillary skids and structures.

Extensive rock quantities in the majority of excavations required the use of a rock-saw and rock breakers. Other equipment used during the project included; Loaders, Rollers and 30 and 20 ton Excavators. Specialist poly weld machines were used for all HDPE pipework in-ground.

Located in Miles (QLD) – 400km’s West of Brisbane, the Condamine site was quite remote and CATCON had to overcome logistics issues by ordering materials well in advance to keep the project on track.
