Located approximately 130km south of Perth the Wagerup cogeneration transmission line projects included; civil works for 12km of 330Kv transmission line and, 2 switchyards and an underground link to power plant in Alcoa alumina refinery.
The 12 month project involved; earthworks, road works, drainage, concrete works, underground snaking pit / cable frame construction, pre cast installation and bored road crossings extending to 120m for 330Kv cables. Equipment used for the works included; graders, loaders, rollers, excavators, water carts, horizontal boring and directional drilling machines.
The relatively remote project was completed through the land of 3 separate mining companies with different practices and limited access in each location.
