The Tonsley Precinct urban redevelopment project is located in the Southern Suburbs on Adelaide, South Australia. CATCON were contracted by client CIC to construct the Stage 3 residential sub-divisions. The brown-fields sub-division works included; demolition, disposal of contaminated material, sewer, stormwater, potable watermain, reclaimed watermain, kerbing, pavements and common service trenching.
Specialty works included; directional boring, pipe jacking under live railways and installation of infrastructure for SAPN to drop 33kV network underground and new signalised intersections.
The project consisted of 3 separable portions and required to work with existing traffic while maintaining access.
