The Dukes highway project involved the construction of 3 overtaking lanes on the RN7800 section of the Dukes Highway (Keith to Bordertown) located in South Eastern South Australia. Construction works included; excavation, subgrade preparation, stabilisation works, supply and installation of pavement layers and sealing works.
Each of the passing lanes, approximately 500m long and 8m wide, were constructed using graders, rollers, excavators and trucks. Specialist stabilising machinery was used to mix additives into the subgrade and pavement layers.
