Bay River Estate was a subdivision project located in Largs North (Adelaide, South Australia) for client Defence Housing Australia. CATCON’s involvement in the project included; installation of sewer main, stormwater, water mains, lot tap connections, CST for service utilities, bitumen to new roads, public street lighting, public parking, exposed aggregate concrete footpaths, residential play area, open air exercise areas, picnic area, water feature and pedestrian bridges, retaining wall installation and detailed landscaping works.
Primary equipment used on the project included 30t excavators, graders, 12t rollers, watercarts, loaders and bobcats. Some specialist hydraulic formwork was required for deep sewer installation. Contaminated materials had to be carefully excavated and disposed to an external dump site. The project was completed on time and to the satisfaction of the client.
