Civil and Allied Technical Construction are proud to be involved with the project at Newport Quays where Multiplex/Urban Construct are the major developers. The large multi skilled construction site has Jervois Bridge at the north boundary and the Port River and Ethelton Station to the side boundaries. Extraordinary civil skills and attention to environment, quality and safety are key objectives to the project. Two large gross pollutant traps were provided to the stormwater drainage system to environmentally control the collected water discharge into the Port River.
CATCON are undertaking major infrastructure works, road works, underground services, electrical services and lighting. Urban works included soft landscaping, trees, architectural structures, concrete promenade works and three jetties onto the Port River.
CATCON’s previous exceptional history and experience with major infrastructure works is evidenced in our involvement with the development of this important and exciting project.
During Stage 2A, CATCON provided all infrastructure works, including the construction of the marina, road & streetscape works, underground services and lighting.
The centrepiece of Stage 2A for CATCON was the exclusive multi-berth marina, constructed using wet excavation techniques. CATCON also supplied the Urban works to the project consisting of landscaping and marina boardwalk features.
