Blakes Crossing is a 200 lot sub-division located North of Adelaide in the city of Playford. CATCON provided all civil works, earth works and services to the client Delfin Lend Lease, including; earth works, sewer-main installation, stormwater installation, potable water installation, reclaim water installation, road works, kerbing, bitumen works, common service & electrical installation and construction of a stormwater detention pond.

Equipment used on the project included; 30 ton excavators, graders, backhoes watercarts and specialist earth scrapers. Site conditions were difficult in wet weather as the soils on site were very cohesive and held moisture. Conditions were also difficult in dry weather as the material when dry was very fine and caused very dusty conditions which were treated with watercarts.
