City Skate Park – North Terrace West End as Adelaide’s skate board and cycle sport park is very popular with young people and represents an excellent environmentally sound solution for the sport.

Skate park was constructed in 2 stages within tight program restraints. Base formation required detailed excavation work and the handling of contaminated soils that were encountered on site. The diversity of sculptured shapes and retaining structures for skate board use were carefully formed to a very high quality of concrete tolerance and finish. A shelter, fences, lighting and soft landscape works completed work at the park.

Award: RAIA (South Australian Chapter) Urban Design – Merit Award 2002.
