Northgate is a large residential development located in the mid-northern suburbs of Adelaide. Due to the development being located nearby to the Northfield Substation, AV Jennings contracted CATCON to construct a Noise Attenuation Wall to reduce noise emissions from the substation.

Works involved the construction of a 6m high pre-cast concrete retaining wall including an acoustic lining around the operational transformer complex. A series of insulated fans were also installed to allow for ventilation to the electrical equipment.
